New in Ravenburst · In beta now

Write the adventure.
Run the table.

Ravenburst is a writing studio for game masters, too. Plan a one-shot or a whole campaign: encounters, creatures, maps and characters, all linked to the story — then print it as a finished adventure.

Works with any game · 5e-compatible sheets included

Encounters that do the math

Add foes, set your party’s size and level, and the difficulty updates as you go — Low, Moderate, High or beyond. Read-aloud text, tactics and treasure sit on the same card.

Maps in a click — or drawn by hand

Generate a dungeon of rooms and corridors, or draw your own. Add doors, stairs, traps and secrets, number the rooms, and print a GM map or a player map with no secrets at one inch per square.

Character sheets for any game

A full sheet or a quick NPC. With 5e rules it works out proficiency, saves, skills, initiative and spellcasting numbers for you; with Any game, it’s yours to fill in.

Everything a game master preps

  • Everything in its own place

Encounters, creatures, characters, maps, locations, items, handouts, roll tables and sessions, each on its own page.

  • Linked, not copied

Type @ to link any page from anywhere. Every page shows where it’s used, and links follow renames.

  • Ready for the table

Read-aloud boxes, GM notes, tiered results, roll tables, skill checks and cross-references.

  • Your own library

Save creatures, sheet templates and items once and use them in every project.

  • An adventure PDF

A two-column layout with page-numbered cross-references — with the GM notes, or without them for the players.

  • Campaigns too

Session prep and recaps, plus every character, place and encounter your campaign collects.

How it works, in the docs →

Encounter difficulty uses the experience budgets from the System Reference Document 5.2.1, available under CC BY 4.0. Ravenburst includes no game’s rules text or creatures of its own; the creatures and characters shown are our own examples.
